PINGFENG
Asia Tour Popup for Bonnie Clyde
China 2026
Pingfeng is conceived as a pop-up environment set within Maison Dongliang in Shanghai. Inspired by traditional Chinese folding screens found in bedrooms, the project reinterprets this typology as a controlled interior stage for intimacy, constructed through spatial sequencing, material contrast, and lighting. A space that blends interiors and scenographic elements. The display is designed by BALCONY studio for the Bonnie Clyde Honeymoon Tour as a theatrical setting combining traditional elements with contemporary materials. The display is made out of thermoformed pink translucent acrylic panels. A game of light and shadow allows for moments of discovery and playfulness.

CHAIR
a CHAIR that lives in the intersection between toys and furniture. The chair explores materiality and form through the lens of familiarity, reimagining the common typology of a domestic object. Its key element is the use of inflatable materials, such as commercial-grade PVC, integrated as part of the structural and aesthetic design. Inspired by inflatable toys and driven by the material’s durability, lightness, and recyclability, balcony and kitchen.Gmbh developed a unique hybrid that sits at the intersection of toy and furniture.

CABINET 01
Refurbishment of a series of antique victorian cabinets. The idea is to create a hybrid and fresh take on the antique cabinets while maintaining their function as displays. The idea was to remove the existing wood interiors of the cabinets and replace it with brushed aluminum panels as well as undermount light fixtures.
