LOVE ROOM

Pop-up Retail for Bonnie Clyde

Tokyo 2026

Tok

The LoveRoom is conceived as a pop-up environment set within the existing white envelope of the building in Tokyo. Inspired by the “love rooms” of the city, the project reinterprets this typology as a controlled interior stage for intimacy, constructed through spatial sequencing, material contrast, and lighting. A space that blends interiors and scenographic elements.

A WALL THAT ISN’T ONE

Installation for Malta Art Biennale

Malta 2026

Tok

The project begins with the dry-stone wall, a construction system common across the Mediterranean. Found in contexts ranging from the Cyclades to the rural landscapes of Malta, these walls are built without mortar, relying instead on the careful placement of stone and the equilibrium between elements. Their construction reflects a direct relationship with the site: materials are sourced locally, and the wall emerges as an extension of the ground. Beyond their functional role—defining boundaries, retaining soil—they embody a shared building logic based on economy of means, manual knowledge, and incremental assembly.
For the Malta Biennale 2026, the project takes as a reference the Maltese dry-stone wall, known as ħitan tas-sejjieħ, and reconsiders its spatial role.
The installation is located in the main courtyard at the entry of the Old Armoury in Valletta, a space defined by heavy stone construction, historical stratification, and a sequence of thresholds between interior and exterior. Positioned at this point of arrival, the intervention operates both as an object within the courtyard and as a spatial device that reorganizes how the space is occupied and perceived.

ENVIRONMENTAL

INFORMATION CENTER

Competition Proposal

3rd Price

Cyprus 2026

The Environmental Information Center (EIC) at the Larnaca Salt Lakes is conceived as a public building and landscape operating as a single environmental system. Located within a sensitive Natura 2000 wetland, the project positions architecture not as an object placed in nature, but as an infrastructure for observing, understanding, and experiencing the landscape. The Center promotes environmental awareness through spatial continuity, material presence, and a con-stant dialogue between built and natural environments.

BC WORKSHOP

Workshop Space for Bonnie Clyde

Los Angeles 2025

Tok

The project occupies a portion of a larger warehouse complex that houses the eyewear brand’s operational, merchandising, and storage facilities. Balcony approached the commission with a respect for the existing envelope, allowing the original structure and finishes to inform the design language. The resulting interior reads as an intervention rather than an insertion — a series of gestures that articulate domestic warmth within a raw industrial framework. Two restored oversized skylights form the spatial and conceptual core of the project, drawing natural light deep into the volume and reactivating the warehouse’s original roof apertures. The workspace is defined not by rigid partitions but by full-height acoustic drapes, which create a soft threshold separating the design studio from the surrounding program. This flexible perimeter allows the environment to expand or contract according to daily needs, while introducing a tactile counterpoint to the building’s concrete and metal surfaces.

HOUSE ON

A SLOPE

Design proposal in development

Thessaloniki, Greece 2025,

A house for a couple in a rural area outside of Thessaloniki. Basic element of the design approach that results from the location of the plot and its relationship with the neighboring buildings is the attempt to visually isolate the house from the outside and the other way around. The result of this effort is the turning of the building towards the plot as well as the definition of the full-empty space in the compositional process.

APARTMENT

MM1

Mexico 2025

The apartment is located within a residential complex south of Puerto Vallarta, in a small fishing town by the ocean, and was originally used as a vacation rental. The client asked the studio to create a simple but distinctive retreat that could be used for holidays, offering a stronger connection to nature and a contrast to urban living. Chukum was applied throughout the interior to create a calm, light-filled space that responds to the coastal climate. The material helps regulate humidity while giving the apartment a uniform, tactile finish. One of the studio’s first interventions was to remove the separation between the living area and the bedroom, reorganising the apartment into a single open-plan space. This approach allows daylight to penetrate deeper into the interior and reinforces the connection between the indoor and outdoor areas.

AMAZING ROOFS

Small Lot Proposal for NYC

New York 2021

Amazing roofs is a proposal for rehabilitate unused urban lots in NYC. It was developed as part of the Small Lot Competition, or-ganized by NYC.

Amazing Roofs is a series of micro houses that occupy different mini lots throughout NYC, providing affordable housing. A roof, a pedestal, and a stair is a spatial exploration of the notion of mini tower as a single, autonomous and inde-pendent housing component. A tapered, roof-like volume is the main element of the mini tower accomodating most of the house spaces as a 3-storey one-family home.
